Crab apple jelly time again....

Our crab apple tree didn't have as many apples on it this year as it usually does so it only made 4 small jars. T picked them for me yesterday and I stewed them and put the 'mush' to strain overnight. I was very tempted to squeeze out more juice but I love to see the clear jelly so resisted the urge a bit. I might have got another jar full if I had squeezed them more but of course it would have looked quite cloudy and I didn't want that. Who am I kidding...it would taste just as good and I would have got more...kicking myself now.

But if the clear pink jelly gives you joy...it is jewel-like! :)
