Mangoes in (starting) to bloom. (Mangifera)

The larger is Manila and the shorter is Ataulfo. Ataulfo is the one with pure yellow Mangoes that are very ( I hope) sweet.
First flowering for Ataulfo after five years plus from seed.

Ooh mangos again, Stan! My favourite. I can almost taste them..
Saying that, it’s not quite the same at all, but, I had a lovely pocket of mango this afternoon...yes, definitely not the same..

This is all part of climate change Kate. When I was young the bay area was a 9b climate...now its near 10b. In one lifetime.

Mango trees come in all shapes and sizes Penny...but since we all know San Francisco bay area will never be considered a tropical climate, its only certain types of Mangoes that grow here..the small fruited southeast asian types seem to do better than larger Indian mangoes..but those might start to do well here soon..climate change.
