What a beautiful collection of colour!!!!!

Thanks Sheila and Kate, there's a bird house there, nearly covered by wall plants too!

Oh yes, just spotted it! Great place for the birds to hide 🙂.

Do you gather all the leaves up for making leaf mould? I only have one bag this year, found it a lot of effort for so little return last year!

22 Nov, 2021

I can't say I do Shirley, but thinking about these huge leaves, yes I ought to collect them at least.
I can imagine really. We just need all the background teams of our lovely telly gardeners. Have you been watching Carol Klein's programs? Would love to see Glebe cottage and all her garden..

22 Nov, 2021

Haha Sheila, it is well hidden this year..:))

Janey, if I had the space for making a ton of leaf mould, like Carol and Monty, I would do so!

I have really enjoyed watching Carol's gardening progs., such a down to earth lady. No pun intended!

Me too Shirley, and there's enough to do to be honest!
Yes, I'm a real fan of Carol, she has such enthusiasm it's infectious...:))

Janey, for the past hour or so I have put pots of Penstemon cuttings, plus tender plants in terracotta pots, in to the cold greenhouse. Then put pots of Spring bulbs under the shelter of the Grapevine pergola . . . cream-crackered now . . . off to sit down in the hair salon soon . . . :o)

24 Nov, 2021

Haha, it does get a bit much sometimes..
Hope you enjoyed a head massage at your salon too...Love that!
I'm a very Happy bunny, my outside area is complete and it looks great....:))

24 Nov, 2021

Janey, no head massage for me, just had some hi-lites and a trim.

Ooh, show us some photos of your new area. You see, all good things come to those who wait . . . :o))

That’s great news Janey … so happy for you 🙂. And while we’re smiling I’ll just mention that I’m going to a talk this evening by Nick Bailey “365 Days of Colour”, and it’s taking place just around the corner!

25 Nov, 2021

I will..turning 10 days into 6 weeks is a pretty long wait Shirley..Haha!

Ooh lucky you Sheila, I like him! I'm sure you've really enjoyed it...let us know how it went please..

25 Nov, 2021

The talk was brilliant Janey, Nick was very confident but relaxed, and gave us plenty of ideas for prolonging interest in our gardens. He also gave us the latest Gardeners World gossip, saying that Monty isn’t going to present the programme any more, and that he and Adam Frost are “in the running” as replacements!!

26 Nov, 2021

So pleased you enjoyed it Sheila! Yes, I can picture the way he is, recalling his new garden he'd designed and how he'd loved the tall plants near his office, and that it had taken him a while to get round to it.
I do hope he and Adam get the positions, Adam has a lovely way with him too doesn't he? And the beautiful house and walled garden, yes please..Haha.
Going to miss Monty tho, he's been a joy to watch all these years..
