They can get pretty big GG....although this year only half the size - lack of sun I think.
The one shown on the picutre is in a border with hot colours the Heleniums, Achillea, Crocosmia to name a few.
They look great with Echinacea too.
I experimented with 1 plant in part of the garden which suffers flooding - it survived and only yesterday planted in some Astilbes which I bought from Morrisons. I'm hoping they survive too. I don't want to spend too much money planting things which won't survive hence I'm doing it in stages!

I like the idea of putting it with hot colours ... I'm thinking maybe I should just plant out one and not all three! I hope those new astilbes do well too :)

I started off with 3 GG - I under estimated how big the 3 of them looked when grouped together. I gave 1 away to my brother and kept the other 2.
What will you do with the others GG? Keep them in containers?

Hmmm, they could stay in their containers I suppose, they're not doing too badly there at the moment! I started out with one and divided it this Spring ... I probably need to stop propagating plants that I don't need more of lol :P

Insects love this don't they?! Shame there's not been as many this year. Spotted you had this in your latest blog and just having a look to see what you've planted it with, as I have 3 'Taurus' in containers waiting to go in the border when I finally get it done, though I'm not sure that'll leave space for much else lol :o))
