Mock Orange (Philadelphus coronarius (Mock Orange))

Found this pick of my Mock Orange flowering earlier in the year.. it was fantastic. Always worry about pruning it right to ensure good flowering the following year

How do you prune your mock orange ?
And when ?
It seems to be flowering very well indeed !

I chop it quite well back as soon as it's flowered and leave the rest to nature. It seems to have worked last year and have done the same again this time fingers xxxxd

When we moved in there was one in the garden. it flowered loads and smelt great, even cut some and bought it into the house. I then let my mum prune it and it hasn't flowered since. I am now leaving it to see what happens next year.
