This little palm was in a pot when I moved in last year. I decided to plant it and see if it does better. I am not sure what type of palm it is, but it looks a little yellow. I'm going to try to get some palm fertilizer soon for it.

This is Phoenix roebelenii - Pygmy Date Palm. They are grown in California by the millions.
It will green up very quickly with a complete fertilizer...they're very easy to grow.

Cool! It will match the other pygmy date palm I have. Although this one is a lot smaller. This plant is at least a year old, but it was in a very shallow pot. I hope it will grow up ok. It was pretty neglected.

What else?
See who else is growing Phoenix roebelenii (Pygmy date palm).
See who else has plants in genus Phoenix.
