This is a beautiful plant! I really like this plant even though it is extremely common here... and sold at every plant nursery. Does this plant bloom all year there...like in San Diego?

Yes, this plant is always blooming. I love it! I think I got it in late spring. Mine are potted and seem to do fine in partial sun. I have 2 of them and the one that gets the most sun isn't as healthy, so I switch the pots every so often. I think they get quite bushy when grown in the ground.

I think this plant can grow more than 7 feet tall in the ground when old. I saw some in an older garden a couple of months ago this large. I think this might be a little unusual though...I think 2 or 3 feet tall is more the average.

Hi Marguerite, on the tag on this it said that it is a "Mona Lisa" variety Plectranthus. I saw a lot of these at garden centers and home improvement stores this summer. But I don't know how easy it would be to find it in Aus. My favorite part about these is that they seem to always be in bloom.

I love this! Are the stems purple?

The stems are a very deep, dark color that is purplish brown. This is one of my favorite plants.
