My Plumeria rubra 'Plastic Pink' - Plastic Pink Plumeria Tree Flowers

My Plumeria rubra 'Plastic Pink' - Plastic Pink Plumeria Tree Flowers (Plumeria rubra 'Plastic Pink' - Plastic Pink Plumeria)

This is my tallest Plumeria tree at 8 feet/ 2.5 meters tall in the ground. For some reason it doesn't bloom as well as my other Plumeria trees. Photo taken Oct. 1, 2010.

If that was me, I'd be happy if it just bloomed!!

LOL! : > )

I expect more from a Plumeria grown in the ground for 5 years. It only had 7 flower spikes. It should have a flower spike at the tip of every branch.

My limited experience with 'Plastic Pink' indicates it's very shy to bloom. Frustrating, because I really love the color!

Tugbrethil:

There's mixed experiences here...some people in the Plumeria Society say it's easy and blooms well...however, most say it's a shy bloomer.

Sounds like veggie gardeners: ask ten of them what tomato to plant, and you'll get ten different answers! ; )

So true...also, there's so many factors involved: soil, nutrition, sun, heat...and the list goes on and on. : > )
