Yes, it was loving all the heat! It's nice now...however, not for long lots of heat and humidity coming in from the monsoonal flow this week.

2 Jul, 2017

What a shame I hope you are prepared for the heat.

2 Jul, 2017

The heat and humidity is already here. Ugh! It has shown up a few days early.

I feel for you and your family Andy get the air conditiining on hope all your plant manage ok with the heat.

The plants will be fine...most love the heat or need to the heat to grow well. All my plants are tropical or subtropical natives.

We'll all be fine. I don't like a lot of heat; however, I'm somewhat used to it during summer and fall.

Thats good all your plants like the weather climate . Yes I suppose you have got use to the heat out there.

5 Jul, 2017

Yes, most of my plants love the heat! Although, many don't like a lot of very hot sun, they will burn.

Yes, we're somewhat used to the heat. I just don't like when it's really hot and humid. (like it is now). Well, it's the "July Fry".

I assume it's the Palms that dont like hot sun. No humid weather is horrible not many like it here either.

10 Jul, 2017

Yes, many young palms or most Chamaedorea species don't like full sun.

I think most people don't like hot and humid weather (there's a few who love it, though).

11 Jul, 2017

Strange how they are in hot country s mostly yet dont like the sun.

They must be mad then those that like humid weather.?

11 Jul, 2017

Chamaedorea species are understory palms. They are native to tropical S. Mexico through Central and South America.

12 Jul, 2017

Ahrr I see I would of thought Mexico woukd be hotter.

13 Jul, 2017

Yes, most of Mexico is tropical or subtropical and can be very hot and humid. Most Chamaedorea species come from higher elevation in tropical rain forest. They are understory palms which need shade.

13 Jul, 2017

Ahrr so they need the cover of other taller trees.

13 Jul, 2017

Yes, that's what understory means, plants which grow under tall dense shade trees in the tropical rain forest or any forest.

16 Jul, 2017

Thank you Andy.

16 Jul, 2017
