Prunella 'Freelander Blue' (Prunella grandiflora (Bigflower Self-Heal))

Grown from seed this year, plants are still only small but been flowering for ages.

It is so pretty...a great ground cover too. Have found three clumps of this while mowing around the "mudhole"... (pond). Not your cultured beauty but little wildlings growing their hearts out. Interesting reading about medicinal plants.

It is a lovely little thing, I only got two plants but really pleased with how they're spreading in their first year :-)
Think I have the wild one growing in the grass dark leaves ?

I found this on Wiki of all places. It's reasonably succinct and to the point. Some sites you can't find the info for the ads! It's a marvelous healing plant that I never appreciated before. There is even a prunella tea on the market.
