It's growing in front of the lounge window, about 7ft tall which doesn't matter cause the slat blinds remain closed as any sun fades the furniture. Next to it is S. African Sky, then Hot lips.

Thriving well! Love the deep colour.

The soil under the window is parched dry, and gets all the sun going, but obviously Salvias like that sort of environment.

I took a couple of cuttings from a neighbours plant last year, for her and me, and gave her the one of the plants back. They have grown into full size plants and are lovely. so I've taken some more for next year. They seem to have taken o.k. but I shall keep them protected from the winter weather and plant the out in the Spring.

Linda if I take cuttings I overwinter under shelter, then plant out the following Spring. I think it's sitting in cold pwaterlogged soil that kills.

Mine is just flowering and is next to S. neon which has been flowering for a couple of months already. On GW last week they said if you could only have one Salvia this was the one to have.
