Tibouchina (Tibouchina urvilleana (Lasiandra))

This is what greeted me when I got home last night - my Tibouchina flower bud had blasted!

I think that it just "stalled" in development, maybe as a result of a couple of pretty cold nights.

Meanie:

Is your Tibouchina urvilleana - Glory Bush growing outside?

That's really interesting. I've never seen a Glory Bush flower fall off like this before. Wow!

It was. I'm not sure that the bud was too happy with the night-time drop in temps, so it's in the conservatory overnight now. Hopefully, it'll be in flower in the next day or so!

Meanie:

I guess an extreme change in temp. would cause the buds to drop.

See who else is growing Tibouchina urvilleana (Lasiandra).

See who else has plants in genus Tibouchina.
