That's surprising, because it's normal bloom period is from summer - winter...resting in spring.

I do, but I prefer to keep it out as long as possible. The leaves exude a waxy substance when shut indoors - I had previously put it down to our tap water.

Tibouchina urvilleana will tolerate freezing temps for a short period...however, protracted freezing will kill the top to the ground.
