Its been five years since I posted this on GOY...its grown. This year it has five blooms on it. First time ever.
I had an expert (Gonzer!) tell me he cant get them to bloom in his socal beach area where he has a huge collection of Tillandsia. I can tell you I've had this clump for over 14 years now and never touch it but to water it.
Blooms are not quite fully open..they will show some blue also. I might update later.

Thanks again. When the bloom opens more and you can see the blue..a closeup then.
