We pick up our first Granddaughter Marianne from the station she will arrive from London on Thursday our son and his boys will arrive from Lancashire on Sunday ,they never say how long they are staying until they are here usually a couple of weeks , today I made a Coq au vin for the freezer plus 2 chocolate cakes , do these Blueberry buckles freeze well ? anything to fill them up and save time. . I found the recipe and printed it off today !

Phew Amy - I hope you get some help with the cooking. Have a great family time!

Amy it would freeze, but it would make the topping rather soggy, when it should be crunchy!!

No just me Sheila with help from my OH , today I made a huge fruit cake plus a large apple & blackberry crumble we pick up our granddaughter tomorrow I know how much she likes crumble when she was a little girl she often had 2 or 3 helpings ... I won't do that then Angela I'll make them fresh ...

All our grandchildren have enormous appetites!! I am pleased to say, we don't do faddy lol
Just been given some lovely blackberries which I have put in the freezer, love crumble, we add a spot of blackberry liquor which we buy in France, also lovely poured over ice-cream.......making myself hungry now lol
Amy if you do the Buckle, don't worry if the mix is thick, it should be really stiff, I made it in an 8in tin and it took a tad longer than stated.....
