The centre colour deepens as the flowers age. Larger flowers than weigelia florida.

Yes Julia, I do love it. Mine is very much hidden away though. I needed something to cover a bit of fence, so managed to find this in the nursery. It was ridiculously pot bound, so I hope the roots escape in to the soil. I tried to tease them out but it was hopeless!
