I quite agree with you, Linda, but how do you support so many leaves & spathes? It's very difficult to push canes down inside the compost as the rhizomes occupy practically the whole pot! But I have put some string around the outside to try to hold them up but it doesn't look very nice!

Yes, you're right, they do. The rhizomes are large aren't they. I potted up some last week, my daughter bought me a few years ago now. I keep them outside in the summer dusky purple rimmed with white, Picasso. They multiply at a rate too. Maybe next year you be able to put supports in when you pot them up...
