First Real Garden

Renting in Manchester, this was my first garden (2006-08). Sparsely planted with a huge snail population & heavy clay soil….
Very shady at the back and a little overgrown! (I swifty removed the brick ‘centrepiece’!)
With two keen helpers …
I set about brightening up the beds….
and making use of the old green house. Great for seeds, courgette, tomatoes & various salad leaves.
By the summer things were looking much brighter (Lewisia).
I grew some lovely Asters in the front garden but unfortunately cannot find a picture. Lots of pots in the back and a Sunflower & Sweet peas behind my new vegetable bed….(Onions, Spinach, Strawberries, Coriander)
I hope the new tennants are keeping it going :o)

I've got to ask. What is the brick centre piece a drain or something?
