Am new to gardening in the English weather thus am completely starting afresh. Used to live in Africa where gardening seems to be quite different..am working on 2 gardens : small ones at the front and the back of the house. For the last six years I had been living in a plcae without a garden or space for containers so I had not been gardening. Last year I moved into a terraced house with front and back gardens so I have taken up gardening again after 6 years! And its the most relaxing thing for me.

Aside from gardening I love reading books, my house is full of books. Also love dressmaking, sewing, DIY...I guess one could say I love doing things with my hands. I am also a lone parent to my 4 year old son and thats an aspect of me that I very much love and cherish. I prefer old fashioned things and values like I visit my friends to chat with them rather than text or email. Those that are further afieeld I call and talk on the phone regulary rather than email etc.

I am really enjoying this site as it is a sincere forum for lovers all things green. ;-)
