Walk to local pond.

Went for a walk to local pond this afternoon, it was sunny and fairly warm but the wind has since got up and its now blowing a gale in the garden.
I was surprised to see the pond was nearly empty as weve had some really heavy rain recently. There was just a bit in the middle for the ducks.
There were only a few young ducks about. Which kayleigh would have liked to chase….. : O )
We walked back along the beach front, the westerly winds were getting very strong, was glad to get home for a cup of tea.

It could be because the underwater water tables are low and so the water is running deep underground.

Nice to go for a walk in the autumn sunshine :o) I hope the weather doesn't get too rough for you. It's calm here at the moment, but I suppose it will get rougher in the night.

Lovely photos, Holly.
That pond is very low on water, isn't it.
Maybe you'll get some overnight rain from Hurricane Katia to help replenish the water.
