ITS SO WINDY..........

It has been so windy here on the south coast the last few days…. My plants have all taken a battering.. its been blowing from the North East.. so goes across my garden and my poor curly willow tree has been nearly bent double……i have been out to make sure everythings ok….. In the front garden i have a Cordyline in a pot its about 4 years old now and grown quite big….. all day yesterday i spent picking it up as the wind was knocking it over.. so decided to bring it round the back.. ive put it by the dustbin for now as its sheltered there… and will have to find a new home for it when these horrible winds die down…….im going to get something else to go out in the front garden… thats not going to grow so tall……..

I feel your pain - it was a beautiful day here in Dublin yesterday but the wind was mad - Lost the top of my prize sweet pea - not to worry his brothers and sisters are catching up

I know the feeling - I'm on the south coast too and on Sunday had got the garden looking great - grass cut plants out (even did the edges!!) and then the wind came and now the garden looks like a tree has shed all its leaves everywhere!! Typical!!

No how you feel i live right on the coast and we had terrible winds last week coming of the irish sea, & this week its coming from the east, still very windy but not quite as bad as last week, but i think its alot colder.

I hate the wind, it affects my Menieres badly something to do with the air pressure, feel quite dizzy today, was great Sat it was a glorious day then the wind is back Grrrr!

Sorry you've had such strong winds. You can have a great time going around garden centres now looking for a new plant for your front garden :o)

That wind is getting everywhere it seems and yes Clarice its been quite cold here as well although we are getting the sunshine here in Lincs,I,m like you Holly and having to move things about for protection..........

Thanks for all your comments..... its one of the joys of living by the sea isnt it......not to bad today very still.... what a change.....and dry....Sorry to hear the winds affects you sewingk...... and yes Hywel.. i shall be looking for something to put out the front.......lets hope the winds have died down for all of us.... and a little rain for the garden.... then lots of sun.....sun.... and more sun................

Had horrible cold winds in this part of Kent too over the last couple of days. I really thought summer had arrived on Saturday - it was gorgeous. Today is grey, chilly and damp but not enough rain to refill to water butt. Hopefully we are all in for a long warm spell with rain at night!

Yes i hope so to Gee19............they keep saying were going to have heavy rain... but none at all yet... so i hope its gone elsewhere....
