Sorry i havnt been on 4 a while as my Mother who is 84 next month, was rushed to hospital on Thursday night… after having a bad fall at home. We did not realise she was on the floor untill i rang her that evening as usual and she did not answer…….. as i dont have a car, my sister who has recently moved over here from france rushed down there . They had to break the door down as she was still locked in from the night before…… she has told us she fell at 8.30 am…… and layed on the floor till that evening….. poor mum…. but she is now in the best place, and is being treated 4 a chest infection… hopefully she will be able to come home soon…….. so what with all the visiting phoning relatives i have not had much time to be on here…..as i dont drive i have to rely on my sister to take me 4 visits in a time which suits her……
But its nice to have a bit of time today to get back to all your lovely photos……

Sorry to hear this Holly at least you able to respond as soon as you realised something wrong and wish your
mum a speedy recovery.
Those alarm chords are useful in such circumstances but then often people forget to wear them ..

Oh holly how i sympathise i have an elderly spinster Aunt (my mothers sister) she is 87 and recently fell and broke her wrist, luckily my niece lives nearby and was able to rush round and take her to A & E., what a worry! The annoying thing is she has one of those necklace thingys that have a button to press was she wearing it?.....NOOOOOO! so she got a telling off LOL! anyway hope your mum is soon better and back home, must have been awful for her...and you!!!

Feel for you Holly, with elderly parents, one of whom is completely disabled in lots of ways,I live in dread of situations like that, glad your mum is ok.........

Thinking of you Holly...my Mum is 85 & lives alone tho' my brother lives next door & we are 2 mins away...but I keep telling her to be careful of falling as we are all out at work all day. She now has one of those round the neck alarms so she can get help straight away & is on strict instructions not to take it off! Maybe an option for your Mum? Her's is £15 per month.

Hi Holly, give your mum loads of cuddles from us to.
My parents are both in there 80's and my mum is very disabled. She regularly falls but has my dad there to call my brother to come and help. It is a real worry when your parents get older but mine live 200 miles away in Northumberland (not far from AmbleAlice actually) and I can't run round there if anything goes wrong :~((
