We recently bought a house with approx 1/3 acre of land. Looking forward to creating a garden which we hope will be admired by others. We love evergreens especially because winter months can be so bleak, once shrubs/trees etc have lost their flowers/leaves.

We have already planted the following:
8 different rhododendrons (near oak tree)
Laurels at back/side of property (hedging)
Evergreen magnolia tree - quite stunning!
Cherry Blossom (prunus shirotae)

Looking for advice/tips from experienced gardeners on other plants/shrubs/trees we can compliment these.
