Problems

You need to install an adblocker. I have two and see no adverts at all.
They are called Adblock and Adblock plus. They are free to download to your computer.

I don't know what the situation is with phones - I haven't got one.

They seem to have increased a lot and They have become very annoying..I've yet to find a free ad blocker..they start of free but after awhile payment is needed.The frequency of the adverts spoil the blogs.

I've had Adblocker and Adblocker plus for years and they never ask for payment.
Sometimes I get a message asking if I want to upgrade to a payment version but I always decline.
I never see any adverts.

I’ve just googled Adblock & they want & £99 per annum.

You must have got the wrong page - they don't want it from me.

I also have AdBlock but I can't find the address (or whatever it's called) and that's free too.

I have at least 4 adblockers in my Firefox browser &, like Hywel, I never see any ads either!

Another good one, that doesn't just block ads, is uBlock Origin. Just open the Add-Ons Manager, if you have Firefox, & put in the search box: uBlock Origin.

Have tried the link that Thornyside gave, not compatible with my Apple IPad😒

I think uBlock Origin is compatible with any computer or browser.

Not with my IPad. I have just tried.

Sorry to hear that,FF, I don't have any Apple products so I've no idea what works on them or not. 🙁
