Today, I pretended I was on holiday!
I love spending time in the garden during the hols, so that’s what I did. I spoiled myself, I had bought a new dress, and promptly did the gardening in it, planting a new clematis, beans, lettuce and basil.
I have a corner which is my “anything goes” corner and all failing plants or “misfits” get a change to shine here – so in went some droopy pansies and various others.
I enjoyed hoeing my veggie patch which now looks a picture.
And, I bought some elderflower wine (enjoyed in the garden) with a lovely smoked salmon salade and some fudge (naughty but nice) from the local gardening centre.
It was my holi DAY. I may have another holi DAY tomorrow and why not :) x

Great idea... I would rather holiday in my garden anytime, than pulling heavy suitcases about, then get exhausted afterwards. Have a good holiday Seaburngirl, the weather is very nice at the moment! :))

Here here! Michaella, with weather like we're having just now you couldn't ask for a better holli destination with all familiar mod cons to spoil yourself with. Good on you Janiemclean.

It's the best way to reap the rewards of all the care you put into a garden. Good on you :~)
Clothes can get washed and it makes a nice change to wear something special instead of gardening togs and as for the fudge and the salad Yummy .....
I get up most morniings and make a fresh pot of coffee then take it outside and just relax soaking in the garden. It's a little bit of heaven.

This lovely weather makes me feel less guilty for doing nothing for a few hours but sit in the garden with a nice cool drink and a book :)

well you did have fun. hope the dress is ok, I often ruin nice clothes this way. the fudge sounds very naughty :o)
