Hi, my name's Emma, I'm (only just) on the right side of 30 and live in South Derbyshire with my husband, Richard, and Cocker Spaniel, Benji :)

I got the gardening bug two years ago when I moved in with Richard and had a small garden to care for. It was a blank canvas and we made it into a low-maintenance garden for ourselves as you can see from the old photos I have left on here :)

In April 2011 we moved house and I now have a slightly bigger garden to play in! It measures approx. 35ft by 25ft and faces the dreaded north... However we are very pleased to find that we get lots of sun at this time of the year, much more than expected. Again, it is more or less a blank canvas to get our teeth into. This time we intend to add a small lawn, borders, a greenhouse and a tiny veg patch :) We brought some plants with us from our old house as they were already in pots so we've been able to brighten up the plain garden already.
