Compost day!

Well today I thought I would just sit and enjoy the garden. I did for about 10 minutes – could not keep my hands off it.
On with the boots and gloves, off to the compost heap, well it has to be done. I have now reduced the volume by half and covered up a large ugly brorder at the back of the house. Plants look great sitting in the new compost. My compost planks are shorter and the carpet is cut to fit.
Most of this compost was formed by layering the turf we dug up. So I guess that would be loamy compost?
Behind the sheds, well, stones and carpet (cut to fit). Hubby’s ladder laying on top. A space awaits a new water butt. (Can’t wait).
A few unwanted pots (out of many many) given away to freecyle. Now much neater. I feel like a proper gardner now. Hubby also put up a shelf for me in my shed.
Maybe I will rest tomorrow..(maybe)

We should all make ourselves sit and enjoy our gardens - work in them, yes, of course. It's usually enjoyable, as well - but we have to look at the flowers and SEE them, sometimes!
I have just made a resolution to do that!

Gotta admit I waste a lot of drinks as well sometimes even forget where cup is but I do love to sit, look and listen.....

It is very difficult to do isn't it. I do the same thing and many is the cuppa that has gone cold in the garden when I've been out "sitting".

Now you've reminded me I have a lot of pots to take for recycling.

hee hee I do that with my tea all the time, another one is let my tea go cold and then lose my gloves put on another pair lose them, find the first pair .... make more tea etc etc

LOL, Mac......don't forget the pruners....put them down and lose them...find your gloves.......go make more tea......find pruners......lose the spade......lose gloves.....more tea....etc etc etc....

I am at the point of fastening everything to my belt. I'll walk around clanking and clattering but at least I'll know where everything is!! :o)

this is what happens to me i nip outside with a cuppa,planning to sit and admire but the tea goes cold as i always find something that needs my attention!
