I have a very small garden attached to a very small terraced house in Colchester, Essex, UK. My husband (not remotely a keen gardener) is a retired clergyman. Before ordination he was a solicitor, so we have had some very large gardens in the past.
I suffer from chronic pain due, mainly, to arthritis so I cannot do much. I have a raised bed in which I grow herbs. Some potted plants and am trying (with my husband's help) to establish some climbing shrubs along the fences.
I need some ideas on what I can do with the heavily shaded narrow passage from the back door to the garden proper. There is a 6ft+ wall one side and the house wall on the other.
