Wish we could create scratch and sniff!

They're very pretty. I haven't grown lilies for years. Scratch and sniff would be a good idea :o)

Thanks for all your kind comments. Pity that the smell gives you a headache seaburngirl and just as well you don't live next door to me because I'd have to fund headache tablets for you! I bought some late flowering large daffodils which flowered in July. The smell was supposed to be like gardenia but I thought they reminded me of something horrible that comes out of the back of my dog!! So totally sympathise with you on the smell thing!

I believe smell and taste are hereditory. Some things taste horrible to some people, but others enjoy them. ... It's the same with smell I think ... e.g. I love the smell of Pelargonium leaves, but I had an aunt who couldn't stand them ...

There's definitely a correlation between certain smells/tastes...I have friends who love liquorice and aniseed but others can't stand the taste. Would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing.
