since posting a blog last I have:
Planted some erns in the shady are of the garden – 2 sword ferns for the back, a harts tongue fern under the tree, and an irish tatting fern (interesting looking small species) near the old fern thats there already, and a lady in red fern.
I have planted out the tobacco plants and sweet peas, and I ahve stuck loads of sticks into the ground (which looks really strange but deters the nighbours cats from diggin up the plants.
I have germinated and planted out candytuft, and nasturtium.
I planted 6 oriental lilies (slugs favourite after tobacco plant) and then planted replacements, hopefully the original lilies will just wait until next year, then i can have twice as many :)
two crocuses have come through, they were the first bulbs I planted, which I thought had been destroyed by the cats, but one has now flowered, A really small deep purple flower. I will be posting a pic of it soon.
And I have sown some red onions, I’m expecting them to germinae in the next 2 weeks, and I’m planning on gradually thinning them out, using the small ones as salad onions, and then leaving a few to get to big onion size.
At the moment indoors I have quite a few hundredweight pumpkins germinating, which I am really excited about. I can’t wait to have some yummy pumpkin pie. And I might let one plant grow a big one and see ow big it can get :D
There are some strawberry seedlings in the kitchen too, I’ve actually ordered some “golden strawberry” seeds aswel. My Dad used to grow them, I think it will be nice to have unusual plants. Especially ones that taste nice !

Well done Katy22, you certainly have been busy. Well done on the Nicotiana, I seeded mine too close together, the seeds were smaller than a speck of dust! Lol!
