Hunting is exhausting!

I was wondering around the garden with my camera and Golly caught my eye – she had seen something
she moved around the pond and got as close as she could
Perhaps a frog, usually good for catching. On closer inspection I realised what she was stalking…
and then TC joined in the act
The Dragonfly stayed around the pond for nearly 20 mins
All of this action was just too exhausting so TC went back to the serious business of sunbathing (his favourite passtime) and Golly found her usual seat.
and here’s some photos I took before all the action.
Finally in this last photo, the hosepipe is marking out a new border that I am thinking of digging. I’m doing this as the garden is very open and taking inspiration from GOY I want to create further interest and its another good excuse to buy more plants:-)))))))))
what do you think?

I believe your garden is very beautiful as it is. Of course it is your garden you can design it the way you prefer it. I look forward to seeing your garden in it's new design and I am sure it will look even better.

Lulu - the dragonfly was busy laying.
The border will be on the right of the hose pipe.

The cats are usually following me in the garden, Golly is absolutely fascinated by the dragonfly luckily it only goes low over the pond else she would have it.

I think your lawn extension looks great!! (just done mine!)
I am wondering if your dragonfly was laying eggs or emerging newly winged up after a few years in the pond, or maybe resting from the hunters!
