It was a mild day.......

……so I decided the pond needed my attention. I set about cutting back anything that had died back and removing any debris I could reach. Of course kittens Honey and Rosie came with me – a little worrying as Rosie had jumped in the pond last time she went near it -but had she learnt her lesson……………….

Honey had a good look too

It does look like they have learnt – any way I carried on I hadn’t noticed at first the kittens were missing and then I realised I hadn’t seen them. I had a quick look around the garden no sign- perhaps they had gone back in the house for a sleep and then I spotted them……..
!

They were both crying and it took a lot of encouragement to get them down – I gave up gardening for the day after this and took them inside to get warm and fed ready for a sleep bless them (not).
They can be very sweet

espically when they are asleep

I thought they were little girlies but fishing

and football

seem to be their favourite past times. I’m sure they’ll enjoy gardening with me soon again.

Oh Linclass you can say that again. It took ages to get Rosie out of the tree - honey kept running up and down it hanging off Rosie's legs.
Stroller I really thought Rosie was going to jump in again and yes I did hold my breath.

Oh they are so, so sweet. You must be so happy as they are little characters already. They will grow up to be really clever I'm sure.

We have three cats - all brothers, who are completely hooked on rugby matches, and sit and stare up at the screen for ages, completely rapt.

arent they lovely KF, i was a bit worried then, glad they didnt end up in that pond, and had to giggle at them up the tree, all alearning curve in a cats life i guess.
your pond looks clear im plagued with string algea which i still have even though i use barley straw and liquid to clear it, drives me mad, do you get this to?
i will be doing mine soon, infact im getting a solid pond and removing my pond liner after all the rain we have had, it gets bloated, so much clay and the rain wont drain quick enough.
by the way the kittens look so cute resting there :o)))

Les enfants terribles! lol!
I think that they have a penchant for tree climbing, Kfunsters...perhaps you should have left your Xmas tree up for a bit longer to give them a bit more practice? ;)))

Sanbaz - Keeping the pond clear is one constant battle - each year the problem has become a little worse so I'm expecting trouble this summer.

I've been out in the garden again today with the terrible two the first they did was go up the tree but a group of seagulls took a disliking to them and they soon came down lol.
I've been to Bridgemere Garden World this morning as they have a 50% sale on shrubs - whoops spent too much again - so I spent the afternoon trying to arrange my purchases, but I didn't plant any today and I've left them in the greenhouse for the rest of the winter.

My, how they are growing since I last saw them! ... I love their lack of fear at climbing the tree ... and then crying to come down ... lol! ... Do they prick their ears up if they hear birdsong on the TV? ... Our cat has been known to rush round to the back of the set looking for a bird ... daft cat! ... Enjoy many more happy days with them ... :o)
