End of July already?

Where does the time go to? Anyway I’ve been wondering around the garden with the camera again. My first stop is at the front, I have no garden as such at the front as it is taken up with parking the cars (one day my little ones will fly the nest – all in there 20’s with wifes and boyfriends too, now you know why I spend so much time in the garden!), but not to loose out completly to the cars I have a couple of baskets by the front door, and considering this is north facing they have done ok.
The one on the right is a jungle its self but takes a lot of watering – at least 3 times a day.
Earlier in the year my OH made me a plant theatre to display potted Geraniums which I had grown from seed, some unfortunately had to be replaced after a freak hail storm but the display is just coming into its own now.
I also had a go at growing a banana plant from seed, I’ll have to pot it on again soon
I noticed today that there were 2 lillies open on the pond, so far I’ve had the odd one, there seemed a lot more to come too. I suppose the lillies were not mature enough to throw up lots, until now that is :-)
The garden is really ‘buzzing’ at the moment, its full of bees and hover flies in abundance, so I have added a few more snaps
and finally we have seen a lot of grass snakes on GOY this year but I bet you haven’t seen one like this
I (face) painted this one on my daughters leg, to show the children that they can have other alternative things rather than faces done, as it was very hot at Nantwich Show.
Back to the garden – as I have a few new ones to put in – yes I got a fix of plant buying yesterday so all is good.

Your garden is lovely. One front basket twice as long and bushy as the other with the same plants is a bit odd.

Cristina -Nantwich show was last Wednesday, and yes I live near Nantwich.
Alextb - the one on the right has a couple of nasturiums, whereas the left only has one. The right is just planted more heavily, why I did this I don't know.
