Little water feature

Taking some inspirition from GOY I want to add some corners of interest and ‘rooms’. So I decided to tackle a corner with a small water feature, which would have the sound of trickling water.
The corner chosen, try it for size
The digging got tough, so the tough got the power tools out!
We used a hippo bucket as the liner and cut the handles off , the hole wasn’t big enough yet -keep digging.
Made sure it was level, added a solar pump, urn, new plants (an excuse to visit the CG) and stones to decorate.
All in a day – it sounds nice to.

Yes, if you can recommend a solar pump I sure would like to know about it....I've heard such negative comments about them.
You've done a wonderful job of your water feature too :)

The solar pump isn't that great - note when I orginally laid the urns out there were 2 of them -the pump was supposed to lift water to 50cm - it cann't so I opted for one lower urn (the other is now planted up). The pump came with 5 meter of cable so I can get the solar panel high on the pergola, but even then it loses at lot of power when its cloudy :-(( .
I would have been better off with an electrical supply.
I got the pump off Amazon.

It looks great Kfunsters, pity about the solar pump :( looks like electric is the way to go. I bought a little water feature for the fence (electric) and i love it, the sound of water in the garden is lovely and peacefull.. I love the urns you chose, They transform that corner, Gorgeous..

Hi Sticki....yes, the reports I have had from pretty much everyone is that solar pumps are just not up to the job. And as Kfunsters has said they are finding that out now too.
It seems electric is the way to go.

Lovely idea, it looks great, it's so transforming to that little corner. Great idea to use a bucket. Such a pity about the solar pump though. Something else I've learned from on GOY. Thank you.
