A walk which took us miles from anywhere .

Hello all,
Had a lovely walk with my OH today and daughters dog you know the one I give back full of mud lol but not today after a week of no rain in Wales !!! it was very dry under foot , took some pic’s of lovely wild flowers don’t know all their names some were just weeds but looked beautiful ,some were what looked like they had self seeded ( calendulas , poppies , ) miles from anyone’s gardens . one photo has a house in the front which was a farm my ancestors lived in its on the 1841 census the houses around it certainly were not there then .took a photo of Dan the dog but just like children he turned away as I clicked lol.

Well have to sign off to watch the last night of the proms .

Its been grand here all week Kidsgran so I don`t blame you for taking a walk, the wild flowers are like our ones in the gardens and doing smashing this year, I`ve seen some this year that seemed to have disappeared and yet now they are back, I think all those weeks of terrrible weather kept folk away from lots of area`s therefore giving the flowers more chance to grow without being trodden underfoot.
Lovely pics....

I hope you enjoyed the Proms. We watched it too ...
Well it's raining here now (Sunday night)
So you like Genealogy also. I've been doing it for many years. Isn't it fascinating ... the things I've found out ... !

Your first flower I think is Sheep's Bit Scabious - very pretty. I find them around here too

2nd one = Rose Bay Willowherb

Can't see the 3rd photo - just a red x in a box lol

The orange one in the photo after your ancestors' farm is called Fox and Cubs. It can be a pest if it comes into your garden.

The two last ones look like wild Mint

Don't know if I've got them right lol but I'm pretty sure :o)
