One day at a time, it really is the only way, clear an area thoroughly before going on to another. It will seem as though you're achieving nothing at first, but, gradually, it will start to look better. Does your local Council provide 'garden bags' which they will collect when full ? Sounds as though you've done too much today, Rome wasn't built in a day ! I wish you every success. : o ) ) )

Just think of the bigger picture. When all your hard work is done, you WOULD have done it all and it will look wonderful!!! you'll get there! I know its daughting. I did my garden all on my own. But the satisfaction you get at the end is priceless!!!!

i have no clue what to do with the pond,i just have this vision of a bird and wildlife sactuary in the garden, bee,s buzzing flutterbys fluttering, birdies tweeting, just to say ive got three cats now who are not pleased with me,found the biggest bells i could and you can hear them a mile away,my council dont do bags so its up to me,cant believe i found all that paveing and ive had a great idea,im going to do a square of 4ft by 4ft and stick to that and just do my garden in sections and then i wont get sick of it and overtired,i cannot wait for my garden ,twenty years of dreaming and here it is,gotta smile chris

Could you Freecycle any of the pavers ? Just a thought.

Oh crikey what a pain! good on you for all your hard work. Megan's Idea is good- I've seen paving stones go off Freegle (as it's called here) quickly. If it was my garden I would have made an anonymous phone call to the police saying I'd buried my first husband under the patio-
Anyway I bet it will be beautious in the end, you deserve a Radox.

You sound like the same kind of gardener as I am Chris - only minus the cats!! Your garden sounds very interesting. I would be so tempted to unearth all its former glory (I say that lightly) and see what's there, and see what will grow on its own. You might find some plant treasures.
