story behind the lilly

Well everyone must know the story of Hercules… well In Ancient Roman times they believed that the Lily was the symbol of the queen of the gods and was a sacrid flower meaning purity and beauty. Juno, the queen of Gods is Hercules’ mother, Hercules was to be believed as the strongest man in the greek world, not only because his father was Zeus but because as a baby he fed from his mothers breast, in which she was told to do so by the gods. Well When feeding Hercules, Juno acidently spilled some of the milk from her breast and it landed on the ground, at that exact point lillies sprung from the earth and continued to grow throughout the ages, becoming the symbol of purity, virginity and innocense
