Why don't they repeat Gardener's World?

Why is Match of the Day repeated but not the all important Gardener’s World? I just don’t understand. I wouldn’t mind, but it’s not working on BBCs iplayer either, so I’ve lost all hope.
Anyway, this is what I’m working on and will be blogging on about. I really need help from some experienced gardeners!!
ID all the plants in my inherited garden
Work out what maintenance they need each month
Enjoy some sunshine (this is actually the optimistic goal)
Sun’s out, so I need to run and take some photos now!

Am I the only one that hates the new theme tune - its driving me crazy - I know they had to do it for all the HD stuff but it just feels wrong. If you've got digital UKTV Gardens repeats them all the time.

Thanks, do they repeat the recent ones I wonder though, I'll check, I know they're showing a whole day full of the specials today on that channel. I agree about the theme tune too!!
Bluespruce and Sid are probably right - this site is going to be great to get the specific advice I need, but I still love GW, it's great for beginners!

Glad you reminded me, I got told a good programme on Friday, but i cannot see it on iplayer, a feb gardens world is on iplayer about orchards though, see what you mean I just found the other one and a fault of somesort on it, how annoying. Perhaps they will correct latest one on in a day or two.

Yes Fridays programme was good as most of it concentrated on Joe's allotment, the start of a 12 month project for GW. Not everyone's a GW fan but some of us amateurs there can be some tips to pick up, but GoY comes out top & no dodgy theme tune to endure!

If i dont get time to watch gardeners world, i tape it and then i can watch it when i wont. Its a good job i have a video recorder, got a dvd recorder but cant record on it for love or money. all this new tecnolagy goes over my head, must admit as you older it gets harder to learn.

Anyone remember the late Geoff Hamilton ????
What re-awakened my interest in Gardening was the enthusiasm he had when he used to be on GW as money was even tighter then for me than it is now I used to love his tips for gardening on the cheap, (I think he would have £1 to spend) Oh happy days,

I think his programmes were the best !
I have some recorded on the Skyplus thingy, along with other favourite gardening shows and i watch them through the winter months every year !!!
(or 'bad weather days' throughout the rest of the year!!!)

Yes it's interesting catching the older series, especially seeing the trends of the day!
Thank you Davey for that link - of course these days we can watch repeats on iplayer or of course sky+, which is so handy.
