About me

I am female,57,married, biker, cat lover - any animal lover I suppose. And I live for my garden, which is only small but stuffed. It is based loosely on the cottage style with allsorts of flowers mixed with shrubs, veg & herbs. All of this is dependant on what the slugs & snails don't like to eat. Having run out of space in the garden itself I now grow in tubs around the side of the house. This is also the only really sunny space there is. Most of the garden is damp & shady which I think is wonderfull as I can grow really lovely plants. Bluebells, aquilegia & foxgloves love it here, as do ferns, climbing hydrangea, honeysuckle, anemonies. On the odd occasion when we have a really hot day it is wonderfull to sit in the cool on our small patio which is getting ever smaller as the plants take over.
There is a virginia creeper(I think) which has decided to grow over an arch we put up at the front of the patio and in autumn it looks magnificent. The arch was supposed to be for a rose and a clematis, but they don't mind sharing.
