Hazelnuts, giant Beanbags and a barn!

I love hazelnuts!! Always have and am still young enough to crack ‘em with my teeth (on one side only!) Hazelnuts have so many wonderful memories for me, Dad was the person who introduced them to me and we would spend hours picking them and then eating them in front of a roaring fire at night (roaring fire may not be true because Dad wouldn’t light a fire in Aug/Sept!! although I do!)
Our dogs love hazelnuts too as they get extra long walks as I go pick them! Yesterday evening was the first time for a serious picking session, some just about ready to eat and some not. And such a bumper crop this year!
A hazelnut in the hand is worth…………..
Views on our walk just about to rain..alot..wet dog smells on new giant beanbag when we got home!
This is Castle Barn, it belongs to the Beaufort estate, it’s such a glorious old building, would be fun to ‘do it up’ a bit!
And this is the giant beanbag!! I still need to take more beans out of it because it’s a bit too full but the beans go everywhere!!!

They are lovely dogs, very attractive indeed. I love the beanbag, it works well Lulu. I can't believe that barn hasn't been requisitioned by the NT or something...English Heritage..that vaulted ceiling is a national treasure!

I think the Duke owns more than The NT!! It really is a great ceiling and only 10 mins walk from our cottage. It's surrounded by scores of hazelnut trees. And beanbag will be requisitioned by me after parties!!

Oh yes, there's nothing like fresh Hazelnuts in front of the fire although it's not the same with a gas one! Lol
Your dogs are very lucky, getting extra long walks and then having such a huge bed to sleep on!
