When its beautiful .. Okay so I confess to having ground elder in the top half of my long border and it has proved so hard to get rid of… But I’ll admit I rather like its effect at the moment amongst the rest of my plants
I think its rather romantic…

yep its almost impossible to get rid of, I have even dug up all the plants and gone through and removed every visible bit of root once. Then I used weed killer and it still came back!! I think I'm stuck with it and would welcome any suggestions

I've been fighting it for the 25 years I've lived in my house, I think I've cracked it and then I find another bit growing so I pull it out. I have tried everything over the years I just watch out for it appearing now and deal with it then.

the front border had it and i double dug and sieved the soil twice to get rid of it. took two seasons but 'touch wood' free of it for 12yrs now.

I have it as the neighbours bothsides grow it! and it comes through. Its a nightmare if left, you just have to dig it out and dig it out and......

That is an attractive sight in the photo but I do feel for you as its a nightmare, luckily it only comes up under my front hedge into the granite....
