Am I, the only one who remembers, that it snowed in the May half term week in 1976, Just hope we get the gorgeous summer that followed in that year!

i certainly remember the hot summer [but we had the only wet week there was for a holiday] i have forgotten the the snow, it was my first year at work and i hated it.

I do remember snow one day in May, back in the 60s. It didn't stay on the ground, but it came down like a blizzard. The previous week we were sunbathing on the beach lol

I remember snow in June 1976 it put cricket matches off. lol. red hot afterwards though, so you never know.

I went out to make a start on putting my bean sticks up but its so cold I`ve retreated indoors, sun is out but its trying to rain...

1-45pm, I was back outside working away when I had to run for the g.house, the most horrendous hailstorm, they were huge, only lasted a few mins but oh boy the sky looks very stormy, guess I`ll stay indoors now for a while, its all good fun...

We had the Hail about the same time..just awful ,isn't it..and Niverdeen..think you mean Cerastium ? (snow in summer) mine is just starting to flower...love it :o)

Yes we have had all weathers today, had that massive hail storm earlier blew up a gale just before and the snow this morning, big flakes for a while then eased off with just rain, now sun is shining (2.30pm) :^))

Just reading our local paper..and on this date,in 1955,a freak snowstorm left up to 4" snow on the Pennines above Huddersfield,with snowdrifts up to 2ft deep at Holme Moss ,the latter being the highest point before Derbyshire...!
...and we are having another Hailstorm as I type ! :o(((

Nooooooooooo! The weather here is currently blowing in from the north so I'm next for snow, rain and hailstones!!!!!! Noooooooooo! Hopefully it will blow itself out in the Bay of Biscay before it reaches here!
