Wow, it has been a blowy one here in Jersey today and last night! A veritable gale of Kansas proportions. I am busy today turning what is left of the turkey into a lovely curry. Christmas and Boxing Day were wonderful. So many of us to cater for, but my eldest daughter managed to get thirteen plates of food onto the table hot and delicious..I have been indoctrinating her for years about ‘timing’ and you Mum’s and Grandmum’s will get this totally, it is a challenge to get everything ready at precisely the same time, but she did it! It was a lovely day and in the evening we played Jenga, a huge table-top one, it was good fun but hands are not so steady after a quaff or two of a cheeky little cabernet and I did not win ;). I hope, dear friends, that your Christmas Day was as pleasurable as mine. After New-Year when the festivities are overe, we may all be battening down the hatches, as it is being said we are going to have a tough couple of months of Winter weather. Stay warm, make sure your pots and containers are raised off the ground and dream of Spring! Much love Maggie xxx

No not a laugh. They sit there on their fence posts looking miserable in the cold. No initiative.

Yes thank you, very nice - but as there were only three of us there is lots of turkey to eat up - never a penance for me as it means no cooking for a while. Had it with ratatouille and quinoa this evening followed by fresh peaches and cream and a Matchmaker or two, with some of the nice red liquid in a glass!
