Lazy summer days

Well, it’s such a true name. This site has grown on me. I love it so far, and I hope I have not committed too many faux pas’ in my first few days here. I am still learning in so many ways, and I am loving it. I believe that any day I don’t learn something new or do something new is a wasted day. This is my “new” for today, I have never written a blog before. Wonder if I’m doing it right? Oh well, we’ll see.
I have to admit to a great deal of frustration on these lazy summer days. My laziness is forced, due to a pinched nerve in my lower back, and having surgery on my nose this last Monday. My back had me on bed rest for almost two weeks, and now I am not allowed to do any bending, lifting, or exercise for another two weeks because of my nose. Needless to say, this eliminates my ability to garden for another two weeks, so I am out of the garden for the month of July!
I have hope that I will get more seeds in yet, for a fall harvest. At the very least I would like to get some more lettuce and spinach.

There is a seed swap facility on GoY...
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Garden Plants, and then click on Seed Exchange.
If you are interested in seed exchange in your own country, I think GoY member Gillian has some spare seeds.

Terratoonie, thank you for the info on the GoY seed swap. Guess I missed it in my rovings around the site. I get so caught up in looking at everyone's pictures. They are so beautiful.

Hello. Welcome to GoY. It's a nuisance with a bad back isn't it. I have a ruptured disc in my lower back and it gives a lot if pain. Have to be carefu how I bend etc.
Enjoy your rest while you can. There'll be plenty to do later.
