daily doings x 2. Sun and Mon..

Computor had a wobbly day, internet Access was down.
Carried on with the clipping and tidying, we have a conifer, that has been about four foot/five foot high. This one really annoys my husband. It was there when we bought the house, I have just kept it short. It’s even shorter now ! I cut it down so that it is only two foot high, but some of the trunks on it were too thick for me to tackle, it needs some manly assistance.
He couldn’t help yesterday busy doing our tax return, but he is threatening to “take it out, not take it down”. When he finds out hoe tough the trunks are he may change his mind.
Today I have been working in the opposite corner, clipping yet another conifer, altogether we had more than twenty in the back garden when we came, but they have gradually gone one by one. We have had a lovely display this year of Montbrecia, it may be now called Crocosmia, it is the orange one. It has spread itself too far, I have got the leaves off today, but will have to get a spade to the bulbs tomorrow.
Because I can so easily spend too much time in the garden, I am trying to stick to half to a hour per day. I did do an inside job = sorting my seeds into planting order – I think I may have bought too many !

Hi Marge! Sounds like hard work, those conifers. My "problem" is opposite of yours. I'm trying to restrict my computer-viewing to half-hour and do more gardening! But, I did get lots done recently when I was without the 'Net, so have achieved some kind of balance.

I always have too many seeds as well - they come on the front of my magazine and I plant some, but others don't interest me, so they stay in the box. I do sometimes try to grow new plants, but when I find a favourite - like this year's Godetia - I know I shall grow them again!
How come you have been gardening today? Our weather has been so bad all day. None possible here without a wetsuit!
