Sprin Bank Holiday 09.

We never go away at Bank Holidays.
The roads are always jammed and there are too many people.
We stay at home.
If the weather is good,
As it has been this time:
Our Garden is the place to be.
In between spurts of energetic activity,
There have been coffee breaks,
Reading breaks, time to chat.
Our days have been lazy,
The weather has been hazy,
Time to “stand and stare”
Our peas and potatos have come into flower,
To eat the fruits of our labour,
Is such a delight.
With our ready crops of Herbs,
We have choice of lettuice.
Our Bank Holidays are out rest and relaxation.
My husband always comments “but it doesn’t rhyme”, sorry if you feel the same, but this is what wrote itself !

Love it! Sounds just like the BH we've just had...chilling and enjoying the garden :)

It's as it's meant to be. Sometimes something comes from the heart. That's ok. I enjoyed reading it. It was your day.
