Mr Owl

We cut down a large Eucalyptus tree last year but left part of the trunk. During the winter months the bark has peeled of leaving very pale wood. We have just shortened it to about five foot and we now have Mr Owl in residence!!
He appears to be very contented and not too much trouble.
The next stage is to plant a clematis at the base, so yesterday I went to the local nursery and purchased three.
I now have to decide which one to use.
These are the one’s I selected.
Veronica’s Choice which is pale lilac [ have not seen this before]
Sunset – velvety red [ or this one ]
and an old favourite Niobe – deep red.
Which one would you choose?

Thank you for the kind comments - he's still on his perch.
I have decided to plant the clematis Niobe on the trunk. The weather has been really warm today so we have done lots of gardening today.
Best wishes to you all
