Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como

The villa is located on the tip of a small wooded peninsular on the western shore of the SW branch of Lake Como.
Many films have been shot here including Casino Royal.
The gardens are on various levels with fantastic views.
We met a young lady who had been married in this idyllic setting – the bride and their guests had travelled from Liverpool.
