These are a few photos taken this afternoon after the torrential rain we had yesterday.
I would be grateful if somebody could identify the Day Lilly & the purple trailing plant.
We have a wicked magpie in the garden which steals labels etc. including eating the head off of a topiary bird!

Lovely photo's, makes you wonder how they manage to bounce back after the force of some of the heavy rain we are experiencing, I have the Daylily, its doing smashing this year, I'm sure its called Kwanzo, I received mine from a lovely Goy member a few years ago and cannot believe how well its grown, I've even split mine up now so have a few in different areas, sorry can't help with the other...

All looking good Marjorie, lovely colours. Agree with the name for the daylilly I have it all over in the borders beware if it is Kwanzo it spreads rapidly. :O)

Thanks for your comments.
I think you are right about the Day Lilly. It has spread a lot since last year and is very tall even taller than me!
When should I cut it down?

I leave mine until I do the big cutting back on the garden in general, but I have a big clump by the back door so the green leaves keep the border interesting until the back end of the year, if I chopped them down too early I would have a very bare border. :O)

Do you think it might be some sort of salvia? Just a wild guess.
