Rambling Rector pruning F A O Shirley Tulip.

I have had Rambling Rector on the pergola for many years.
Last year I decided to remove it, but I didn’t fully remove the root and it grew again so I decided to keep it and let grow again. It flowered in may really well so now I am containing its growth . It does not object to being hard pruned so it has just been pruned into a column on one side of the pergola.
This is how it grew this year.

Marjorie, many thanks for showing this to me. It's a tough old rambler, that's for sure!
